Backup all files

Hmm, everyone knows that archiving all files in a site's root directory. However, you should be aware your app may be dependent to the configuration and environment of your server. Such as:

• CRON jobs
• Web server that stores configuration in its directory like nginx
• Database configurations
• Firewall setups

Dump your application's database

Use the official mysqldump tool for this task and make sure all database objects, like triggers, store routines and views are properly backed up.
